Hear Clearly Again with Safe Microsuction Ear Wax Removal

Use 1–2 sprays of olive oil twice daily for at least 3–5 days before your appointment. This softens the wax and makes the microsuction procedure smoother, faster, and more comfortable. Olive oil sprays are available over the counter — including at our pharmacy.

Yes. Microsuction is performed under direct vision using a high-definition camera, meaning our specialist can see exactly what they're doing at all times. It's the same technique used by ENT consultants in hospital and is widely considered the safest method of ear wax removal available today.

Most patients find microsuction completely painless. You'll hear a vacuum-like sound during the procedure, which can feel slightly unusual at first, but the procedure itself is quick and comfortable. Using olive oil drops beforehand makes the experience smoother still.

If we're unable to remove all of the ear wax in one sitting — usually because it's particularly hard or impacted — we'll advise you to use olive oil drops for a few more days and return for a follow-up. The follow-up consultation fee is just £25.

If we identify anything that needs further investigation — such as a possible infection, perforation, or other condition — we have direct access to an ENT Consultant at no extra cost to you. We can also write a recommendation email to your GP surgery so you can be referred appropriately.
